Hyclass Ocean Campground has been welcoming campers since 1985. We are not just a family campground, but a Camper's Happy Place.

In addition to some of the most majestic sunsets you will see on the Sunrise Trail in Havre Boucher, Nova Scotia, we offer many amenities for you to enjoy while you are staying with us. Take a swim in some of the warmest waters north of the Carolinas steps away from your site, rent on-site pedal boats, canoe or kayaks to explore the campground's inlet, play volleyball beach side, and much more.

We will be welcoming returning campers and new visitors for the 2021 season from May15th to October 17th. We welcome you to the Haven where you can connect with nature, the ocean and yourself.

We both grew up in the Halifax area and are proud Nova Scotians. However, in the late 1990’s we left Nova Scotia to move to Quebec for work opportunities where we lived for over 20 years. Despite raising our family there, we knew one day we would move back to our beloved home province.

We often dreamed of having our own business, so in 2019 we jumped at the chance to purchase the Hyclass Ocean Campground and move home being people who love camping. It was hard to leave our two married children and four (soon to be five grandchildren) in Quebec, but we had to follow our hearts. We look forward to them coming to visit us soon…hopefully.

As camping lovers, we have enjoyed camping in many spots in Canada and the Northern United States. Our favourite spots to camp are at places where we can enjoy nature, fishing, hiking or just taking the time to relax and enjoy a great view by a campfire.

It has been a wonderful experience operating the Campground so far and we have met some incredible people from all over the world. Our goal is to provide a place where you can come to enjoy the outdoors, nature, and relax oceanside in a place with some of the most majestic sunsets you will ever experience. We look forward to meeting you soon.
